올해 첫 수확한 옥수수(강냉이)를 이웃집에서 주었는데 밭에서 바로 꺽어온 옥수수입니다.
껍질을 벗기니 하얀 속 알맹이가 말랑말랑하면서 싱싱합니다.
껍질채 꺽어온 강냉이는 오래두면 맛이 없어 바로 삶아서 먹어야 제맛이지요.
찰옥수수라 그런지 식감이 찰지면서 아주 맛있네요.
봄에 시일 간격을 두고 옥수수 씨를 뿌려두면 여름에서 가을까지 몇달 간 계속 싱싱한 옥수수를 먹을 수 있습니다.
찰옥수수 먹고 힘찬 월요일 시작해 봅니다.
