# 546 - The Atlantic Walrus

I will show you now the 2005 $5 CAN "The Atlantic Walrus and Calf".

This coin was part of a coin and stamp series which was issued jointly by the Royal Canadian Mint and Canada Post to pay homage to Canada's diverse wildlife, in 2004-2006.

It weights 28g (0.9oz) with 99.99% silver purity and Proof finish.
Its mintage was 5,519 units and the issue price was $49.55 CAD.

The reverse shows an Atlantic Walrus family resting on an ice floe.

The obverse shows an image of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Susanna Blunt.
